They Say Rain Brings Flowers

I took an accidental hiatus from my blog, in case you didn’t notice. At the end of last year, I was actively writing more than any other time in my life and it felt amazing. My last big project was “mindfully ending 2016,” remember? I feel like I did exactly that, I wrapped 2016 up in cute little bow and felt great about my mindset as I rang in the new year. But something happened just before 2016 was over that slightly derailed the beginning of 2017 for me…I got engaged!

My daily writing habits were quickly replaced with planning and celebrating and researching photographers. I welcomed the season of goofiness and chaos, knowing I would recenter and find my writing once I was ready.

Patience.

Allow this to feel good.

Don’t SHOULD all over yourself.

You’ll write when you have something else to say.

I told myself these four things daily, as my morning “time to write” reminder came up on my computer screen and dinged on my phone simultaneously.

Just as they say “April showers bring May flowers,” I feel this little break from my craft has given me new energy and inspiration to share. So while the wedding planning is far from done, I’m eager to feel like myself again and share my voice.

So now for the proverbial flowers!

As many of you know, I use Essential Oils to support my well being in many aspects of my life. It’s been two years since I was first exposed to any kind of Essential Oils, and over a year since I committed to using high quality oils from DoTerra 100% of the time. I diffuse lavender at night to sleep, drop grapefruit in my water to flush toxins and shed fat, rub OnGuard immune boosting blend on my feet before bed each night, and rely heavily on their DigestZen blend to ease my achy tummy. In every part of my world, from emotional relief to physical wellness, Essential Oils have become my go-to. I’ve gone from an advil-reliant “sick-kid” to a strong, healthy person in the last two years. I don’t get colds every season anymore. Actually, I couldn’t tell you the last time I had a cold.

Last week, I had three different people reach out to me looking for advice and guidance around using oils. One was my sister, struggling to get a great good night of sleep, another was a friend looking for anything to relieve her anxious thoughts, and the last was my mother simply telling me “I’ve been using those oil rollers you brought up at Christmas.”

That was enough to know the universe was continuing to guide me along this imperfect and every-amazing journey. So now, instead of just a consumer of DoTerra Essential Oils, I am officially a Wellness Advocate. If you have questions about anything oily, let me know. I won’t push you to buy because I’m not doing this for the money. I just know it’s important that I help others gain access to this wonderful, unfolding world of natural wellness.

I promise I’ll write more soon.
